Conservationist and Biologist Forrest is Earth's Leading Advocate!

At age 14, Forrest Galante was the youngest person in history to lead a multi-national canoe safari down the Zambezi River. And this is just one of the many examples of Galante's early adventures. Galante is truly passionate about education and helping people save our most valuable resource-our planet. His hands-on approach with wildlife and his scientific background are assets to biological groups around the world as he usually seeks to partner with local groups exploring remote regions. As a conservation expert, Galante attempts to leave a positive, biological impact in every place he visits, whether searching for fresh-water turtles in Africa or big cats in South America.

Over the course of his life, Forrest Galante has caught crocodiles, swam with great white sharks, photographed venomous reptiles, outsmarted a charging water buffalo, dodged a cyclone and had countless other adventures. He started out his career in high-risk wildlife biology fieldwork, which focuses on animals on the brink of extinction. His hands-on approach with wildlife, love for nature and one-of-a-kind background has led to the development of his own Animal Planet television show, 'Extinct or Alive.' The show shadows Forrest on expedition as he searchers the world searching for animals he believes have inaccurately been deemed extinct.
